Alabama CU Exec To Head State Agency

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Larry Morgan, former president of APCO CU, was appointed by Gov. Robert Bentley as administrator of the Alabama CU Administration, the regulator for state chartered credit unions.

Morgan not only headed Alabama’s biggest state charter, $1.8 billion APCO, but served on the credit union advisory board from 2005 to 2011.

His term runs through Feb. 1, 2015. He now awaits confirmation by the Alabama Senate before beginning his duties as Administrator.
