Alaska USA FCU Expands California Presence With Shared Branching Bid

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. – Alaska USA FCU, which has been building a California presence for two years, said yesterday it is opening all seven of its branches in the Golden State to shared branching through the CU Service Centers Network.

“Alaska USA has over 30,000 members in California,” said Bill Eckhardt, president of the $4.3 billion credit union. “We recognized that our branch locations are also convenient for members of other credit unions and they have the capacity to serve these members.”

The seven California branches offering shared branch services are located in Apple Valley, Barstow, Big Bear, Hesperia, and Victorville. Members of participating credit unions can come into those branches to make deposits, withdrawals, inquiries and loan payments, as well as many other typical credit union services.
