WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Allegacy FCU, which reported a $25.1 million loss for 2008 and a $1 million first quarter net, reported Friday it is closing one branch.
The $1.1 billion credit union will close its Thorndike Road location in Greensboro on June 30. Workers in the Greensboro office will be relocated to other financial centers
Allegacy said the closure is a result of the economic climate, which has hampered small business growth in Allegacy’s target market. However, the credit union said it will keep Greensboro on its radar for future expansion.
