Altamaha FCU said it was searching for a new core system that could not only provide the technology to help it grow now and into the future, but also could be a partner to the credit union. After a detailed search of multiple core systems, the management team selected Sharetec.

"We have been with our current system for almost 20 years, so making a change was something we put a lot of time and effort into. We wanted to make sure we selected a system that could greatly increase the operation at the credit union," Altamaha CEO Nancy Stanley said in a prepared statement. "We are part of our members' everyday life and need to be able to offer them the tools they need to succeed while also improving the operations inside the credit union. Sharetec gives us the technology to do both."

According to the company, Altamaha FCU will have tighter integration with existing partners due to the open nature of the Sharetec System.

"Altamaha FCU was looking for a way to cut down on the redundant tasks its current system was requiring it to do and leverage a powerful back office and loan platform that Sharetec offers," said Keane Kulak, regional director for Sharetec System.

Altamaha Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1955 and currently serves more than 9,000 members in Wayne and Long counties in Georgia.

Sharetec, a provider of both in-house and service bureau core solutions, has nearly 300 credit union clients.
