American Heritage Credit Union to serve as COVID testing site

American Heritage Credit Union in Philadelphia will host two COVID-19 testing events at its main campus later this month as part of a partnership between the credit union and the Greater Bustleton Civic League.

The tests will be administered by the city of Philadelphia’s Department of Public Health and all attendees will remain in their vehicles for testing.

“As leader in our local community, we have always strived to lead by example, and we are pleased to offer the usage of our centralized campus and resources to the Greater Bustleton Civic League and the City of Philadelphia to improve the wellness of our neighbors, and we hope that these events will encourage others to get involved as well,” American Heritage President and CEO Bruce Foulke said in a press release.

Testing at American Heritage’s headquarters is open to the public, but it is not the first in the industry to provide COVID testing on-site. Credit Union of Texas began offering free COVID screening for employees last summer, testing both for antibodies and infection, and said late last year that the program had expanded as the crisis worsened.
