American Heritage FCU Pilots Personal Automated Teller

PHILADELPHIA – American Heritage FCU last week introduced technology it said combines the convenience of an ATM with a highly-personal two-way interaction.

The so-called Personal Automated Teller installed at Aria Health’s Torresdale Campus in northeast Philadelphia will handle 95% of typical teller transactions, including check cashing, cash and check deposits, cash, coin and check dispensing, account payments and transfers, new account and loan initiation, and a variety of other service inquiries – and will be able to conduct a two-way conversation via a video screen.

Aria Health employees, whether they are members of the credit union or not, will be able to cash their payroll checks with PAT, something they cannot do at an ATM. Credit union members visiting Aria Health’s Torresdale Campus also can use the PAT, which will be located in the main lobby of the pavilion building, across from the gift shop.
