America’s CU Buys HQ Of Failed Bank

FORT LEWIS, Wash. – America’s CU has agreed to acquire the former headquarters of Venture Bank, which failed a year ago.

The $360 million credit union plans to move its administrative offices into the 54,000 square-foot building in the next three to five years. America’s CU plans to move its DuPont branch into the building by year end.

Venture Bank opened the building in 2007 and then vacated it soon after the bank was closed by state and federal regulators and sold to First Citizens Bank of North Carolina on Sept. 11. First Citizens occupied it for a few months before relocating staff to Lacey.
