DALEVILLE, Ala. – Army Aviation Center FCU donated $15,000, most of it raised at its annual golf tournament at Silver Wings Golf Course at Fort Rucker, for Fort Rucker’s Army Emergency Relief Fund.
The fund is the Army’s own emergency financial assistance program, which is dedicated to helping active and retired soldiers when there is a vital need. In 2010, Fort Rucker’s Army Emergency Relief Fund gave loans and grants to local soldiers totaling $250,495.
The $15,000 donation also included a matching grant of $1,500 from the Armed Forces Financial Network.
