Arrowpointe FCU Acquires Ailing 1st Patriots FCU

CATAWBA, S.C. Arrowpointe FCU has agreed to merge into it 1st Patriots FCU, a $30-million Rock Hill-based credit union that has reported losses each of the past four years.

Arrowpointe has $112 million in assets and serves surrounding York and Lancaster counties. 1st Patriots FCU was chartered in 1954 as Celriver FCU for employees of the Celanese plant.

The combined credit unions will have seven branches and 12 ATMs. The 1st Patriots headquarters branch in Rock Hill will be named Patriots Center.
