YORK, S.C. – A team of thieves drove a stolen backhoe through a barbed-wire fence and into an ATM at a Family Trust FCU branch bank early yesterday morning and broke open the cash machine.

When police arrived around just before 3 am they found cash scattered around the machine, which was apparently destroyed by the backhoe.
The amount of cash stolen from the machine was not disclosed.
Police believe the backhoe was stolen from the construction company located adjacent to the branch.
