Banker Tapped To Head New York’s GHS FCU

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. GHS FCU announced the hiring of Howard Meller, a senior vice president and area manager for SunTrust Bank’s Virginia Beach operations, as president and CEO of the $135 million credit union.

Meller succeeds Dan Leclerc, who was hired in 2011 but left the upstate New York credit union in March to return to his previous employer Ent FCU in Colorado Springs as chief financial officer.

Meller, who has also worked as an executive for Bank of America, went to college at Binghamton University.
