Baseball’s Rookie Of The Year Goes To Bat For GTE FCU’s Youth Debit Card

Longoria, the 2008 American League Rookie of the Year, recently participated in a photo shoot at Tropicana Field to promote the credit union’s U22 debit card, rolled out earlier this month. He also recorded 30-second U22 radio commercials that will air during the Rays’ home games.

GTE bills the U22 account as giving teenagers and young adults financial freedom, while allowing parents to monitor their child’s account activity.

GTE FCU also will launch a major marketing campaign to promote U22 to existing and potential credit union members. As an incentive to obtain the card, teens and young adults who sign up for a U22 account by Sept. 5 will receive two Tampa Bay Rays tickets and get a chance to meet Longoria before the game.
