HARRISBURG, Pa. - (07/18/05) -- State regulators said last week theyhave approved a request from Belco Community CU to convert to acommunity charter covering more than two million people in sevensurrounding counties, one of the largest community fields ofmembership ever approved a state charter in Pennsylvania. The $250million credit union currently serves about 700 select groups inthe Harrisburg area. The new community charter will allow it toserve the counties of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster,Lebanon, Perry and York.
