WOODBRIDGE, Va. – Belvoir FCU has introduced an online tool that enables members to compare the credit union’s rates and potential savings with loans they have at other lenders.
The credit union’s Loan Saver is an interactive, online process which provides members and non-members the ability to insert their current loan balance, interest rate and term into a platform which then outputs how much the user could potentially save if they refinanced their loan with Belvoir FCU.
The Cleveland-based bank is projecting steady growth in net interest income even as credit losses remain manageable. But Chairman and CEO Chris Gorman also said that he thinks a recession is likely.
The first-quarter increase involved commercial real estate loans, including some problematic multifamily loans and an office credit, but none of the criticized loans were to consumers, officials at the Dallas company say. Further CRE deterioration is anticipated.
