Bethpage FCU Gives $10,000 To Crisis Center

BETHPAGE, N.Y. – Bethpage FCU has donated $10,000 to the Long Island Crisis Center to be used to develop a new anti-cyber bullying initiative.

The initiative will include a video that will air on youth-friendly cable channels, a new workshop to be presented in area schools, and help aid the crisis center’s anonymous online counseling portal, which has seen an increase in usage as more and more young people are reaching out for help.

The center, which is located in Bellmore, provides crisis intervention, counseling, information, referral and other supportive services through a 24-hour, seven-day/week telephone crisis hotline, and live, online counseling.
