Biometric service provider Pay By Touch unveiled a new online authentication system it said will allow computer users to identify themselves, interact and transact on the Internet using their fingerprints.

With the company's TrueMe all a user has to do to access their online accounts is to slide a fingertip on a sensor.
There is no need to remember IDs, passwords or account numbers.
TrueMe is the next step for Pay By Touch's fingerprint identification system that is being introduced in thousands of supermarkets, convenience stores and check cashers.
