The $3.6-million news employees’ credit union is merging into the $600-million credit union to offer expanded services to its members.
Birmingham News Employees CU follows Charleston (W.Va.) Newspapers FCU; Media Hawaii FCU; Madison News CU; Fort Worth Telegram Employees FCU; Boston Globe Employees CU; (New Orleans) Times Picayune Employees CU; and, First Edition Community CU, all of which printed final editions over the past three years.
