Branch Manager Boosted HELOC Line To Feed Gambling Habit

Angela Pena, 50, pleaded guilty earlier this year to fraud and was sentenced to 60 days in jail and to pay $163,000 restitution, the amount of the excess funds she used.

Pena was approved for an $86,900 HELOC line but she altered the documents to inflate the line to $250,000. She failed to get approval for the increased line, which she tapped to pay for her gambling.
