DEER PARK, Texas – A former branch manager for Associated CU last week was charged with stealing $246,000 from the credit union by granting loans in the names of relatives and friends without their consent.
Edie Minter, 44, was charged with five counts of identity theft, five counts of bank fraud and one count of theft.
Minter was manager of the credit union’s Santa Fe, Texas, branch.
The bank was determined, by multiple industry rankings and experts, to be the best mobile banking provider in the U.S.. Bank of America took second place.
