DENVER The former branch manager of the Westerra CU in Lakewood was sentenced to two years in a jail work-release program for stealing almost $80,000 from the credit union.
Yolanda Gonzales, 42, was accused of stealing the cash, moving it to family members’ accounts, and then altering the books to hide the theft. On Friday she was sentenced for stealing the money while she worked at the credit union from August 2011 to February 2012.
Once released from jail, Gonzales faces seven years of intensive supervision probation.
