Branch Manager Jailed for $81,672 Embezzlement

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – A former branch manager at Star USA FCU will spend three months in federal prison and pay $81,672 in restitution for money she stole from the credit union.

Susan Kelly, 58, was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court after pleading guilty to embezzling funds from seven member accounts between 1998 and 2006, after the credit union merged into Star USA FCU.

Money first was discovered missing from Huntington Veterans Affairs FCU in November 1998. The institution merged in September 2004 into Star USA FCU.
