Brothers Charged With Separately Robbing Same CU

HAGERSTOWN, Md. – Two brothers were charged with robbing the same branch of Washington County Teachers FCU in Williamsport three weeks apart.

Crus Maldonada, 18 was indicted by a federal grand jury last week for hitting the credit union on April 19, after his brother, Luis Maldonado, 26, was charged with robbing the same branch on May 11. The older brother was also among several suspects charged in a series of pharmacy holdups.

The robbers stole $9,566 in the first incident and $5,507 in the second.
