CASE CU Donates $50,000 To Build Playground For Handicapped Children

DeWITT Township, Mich. – CASE CU said its CASE Cares foundation has contributed $50,000 to help build a barrier-free baseball field for disabled children.

Plans call for installation of a rubberized surface at an existing T-Ball Field to allow children with wheelchairs or walkers or mental disabilities to have the same experience playing baseball as other children.

The project at Valley Farms Park is being constructed with a $394,200 grant from the state Department of Natural Resources Trust Fund and a $212,000 appropriation from the township.
