WICHITA FALLS, Texas - (11/02/05) -- Authorities are investigating a cashshortage of more that $305,000 from the vaults at Wichita FallsTeachers FCU. Members of the $50 million credit union were notifiedin a letter that the shortfall was discovered on August 17, thenverified first by an internal audit, then by an independent CPAfirm. The members were told that the source of the cash shortfallhas been identified and referred to the FBI. An FBI spokesman wouldnot comment on the case.
