Central Florida Educators FCU Joins Treasury’s HAMP Home Refi Program

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida Educators FCU is the latest credit union to be approved as a servicer for the Treasury Department’s Home Affordable Modification Program.

HAMP provides cap incentives to servicers for the modification of delinquent loans or loans on the verge of default. The program adjusts the caps based on performance.

Also approved for the program last week was CUC Mortgage Corp., as well as US Bank.

So far 53 lenders have been approved, including several credit unions; WesCom Central CU, Oakland Municipal CU, Purdue University Employees FCU, Mission FCU, Technology CU and IBM Southeast Employees FCU.
