CEO Ends 40 Years At Northwest FCU

HERNDON, Va. – Northwest FCU yesterday announced its CEO of the past five years, Gerrianne “Winky” Burks, is retiring after 40 years working for the $2-billion credit union.

Burks began at the credit union in 1971 as a teller and joined management in 1986 as head of human resources. She also worked as vice president of member services and chief operating officer before become president and CEO in 2008.

She has set the end of 2012 for her retirement.

The credit union has hired JMFA Executive Search Group to help it find a new CEO.
