ALTON, Ill. – Laclede Community CU said its longtime president and CEO Janice Callies has retired after 45 years working at the credit union.
Paul Smith, who had served as vice president since 1993 and has been with Laclede since 1977, has assumed the role of president and CEO of the $67-million credit union.
Callies began working at the credit union, the former Laclede Steel employees credit union, in 1966.
Since Callies assumed the role of president in 1998, Laclede Community’s assets grew from $22 million.
