CEO Retirement Prompts Merger Of Small Ohio CU

LIMA, Ohio TopMark FCU has agreed to merge Lima Ohio Postal Employees FCU, a struggling $3.5-million credit union, upon the retirement of its longtime CEO.

Lima OH Postal CEO Connie Arthur is retiring after more than 19 years of service. TopMark CEO Angie Maynard will remain CEO of the newly combined organization.

The tiny postal credit union reported a loss of $19,000 for the first six months of 2013 and a loss of $26,000 for 2012.

TopMark has more than $27 million in assets and more than 6,000 members.
