Commanda told the Assembly Standing Committee on Consumer Affairs and Protection, the Assembly Standing Committee on Banks and the Senate Standing Committee on Consumer Protection that new state-level laws would only further confuse consumers, who would be better served with better enforcement of existing law.
Commanda urged legislators to tackle growing "miscellaneous fees" by using CUs as a potential model.
