CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Metro CU yesterday said it is expanding its services to include business banking, including basic and premier business checking services.

The credit union’s “Business Basic Checking” will pay a fixed interest rate and offers a low $5 monthly maintenance fee, which will be waived on accounts with a balance of $2,000 or more. Premier checking will offer tiered interest rates.
Charlotte Metro announced it has named community banking veteran Nicol Morris as its head of the business banking operation. She spent 16 years with Sandy Springs Bank (formerly Bank of Annapolis), where she most recently oversaw 15 branches in the company's headquarters region.
