SALT LAKE CITY Chartway FCU said it will bring together two credit unions it previously had absorbed via merger and which it had been operating as separate “divisions,” Utah Central and HeritageWest, under the single HeritageWest brand effective Oct. 1.
“The unification will strengthen member benefits in the region and draw greater attention to the fact that members have access to all of its branch locations across its family of credit unions a great convenience for members within the Greater Salt Lake Area and those traveling across the country,” said the credit union in a statement. There are 12 such locations in the Sale Lake City market.
Chartway also operates five Southwest Community Credit Union branches in four Utah markets. It has 50 total branches across Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia and Utah.
