MADISON, Wis. -- Robert Hoel, who has headed The Filene Institute for the past 15 years, will retire at year-end, the credit union think tank announced Wednesday. Hoel, a regular presence at credit union conferences and participant in major incubator projects, will be succeeded by Mark Meyer, the think tank's director of innovation. Hoel said after stepping down he will become Filene's first fellow in residence.
