Lockheed Georgia Employees' FCU raised $39,000 localcharities through its Operation Donation; American Heritage FCU inPhiladelphia raised $11,000 for its Adopt-A-Family Programsupporting families in need; Unitus Community CU in Portland, Ore.,collected 2,500 items and contributed $3,300 to SnowCap, a countycharity for underprivileged families; Alabama CU in Tuscaloosacollected 410 toys, games, clothes and books for the TuscaloosaChildren's Center to be distributed on Christmas; People's CU inMiddletown, R.I., sponsored holiday presents for children andadolescents from the group home program of Child & FamilyServices; and employees of the New York CU League delivered morethan $1,000 in merchandise and a check for $1,385 to St.Catherine's Center for Children. In Vacaville, Calif., Travis CUdonated toys for 230 children in its Christmas Wish Program;People's CU in Middletown, R.I., sponsored holiday presents forchildren and adolescents from the group home program of Child &Family Services; and in Lexington, Ky., more than 200 presents werewrapped and donated to the HOPE Center for the homeless by MembersHeritage FCU.
