CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Two faith based credit unions that served the areas African-American communities have merged operations. The combination of the Bethlehem Community Development CU and the Church Koinonia FCU has created a credit union with more than $3 million in assets serving more than 50 area churches. Officials of the two credit unions agreed to the merger to better serve low- to moderate-income residents.
