CLEVELAND – Firefighters Community CU said it has merged into it United Food and Commercial Workers Local 880 CU, a troubled $11 million credit union.
UFCW Local 800 lost $158,000 for the first three quarters of 2012 and has reported losses for five straight years. It closed its doors on its only branch in downtown Cleveland last Friday the day of the merger.
