Co-Op Financial Services rebrands as Co-Op Solutions

Co-Op Financial Services is rebranding as Co-Op Solutions to align with its mission of becoming a more full-featured financial technology partner for credit unions.

The fintech plans to formally debut its new name, logo and slogan at the Credit Union National Association’s Governmental Affairs Conference this week. Co-Op ATM Network and Co-Op Shared Branch, the Washington, D.C., firm’s consumer-facing brands, will remain unchanged.

“We're doing more than financial services, such as contact centers and things like that which are not necessarily financial services…but really, it's more about outcomes, and how we think about the member-client journeys here,” Todd Clark, the organization's president and chief executive, said in a press release Sunday.

Talks to adopt a new brand first began in 2017 as Co-Op was in the process of acquiring the Iowa-based card processing and payments firm TMG (formerly The Members Group). Co-Op was working to restructure its suite of financial services to allow for the offerings to integrate with one another more effectively.

“We're doing more than financial services,” said Todd Clark, Co-Op Solutions' president and CEO.

“Over the last few years we have aggressively invested in the company to produce a payments and financial technology platform for credit unions and their members,” Clark said.

Co-Op will convene with its Co-creation Strategy Council — which is composed of representatives from approximately 70 to 75 member credit unions — to decide its next steps for expansion.
