EUREKA, Calif. – Coast Central CU has awarded three community grants totaling $50,000 as part of its semi-annual Community Investment Program.
The latest awards went to: St. Joseph Hospital's Blueprint for Excellence project ($25,000); Rio Dell's Fireman's Park to construct a concrete handicapped-accessible walkway and to purchase playground equipment ($15,800); and, Redwood Community Action Agency for rehabilitation of its residential youth facility in Eureka ($9,200).
Coast Central Community Investment Program commits $100,000 each year to assist community organizations throughout Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity counties. This $100,000 is divided into two separate “rounds” of $50,000 each. Individual awards range from a minimum of $5,000 to a maximum of $25,000 and are granted to approximately three to six organizations during each round.
