RALEIGH, N.C. – Coastal FCU yesterday said it has signed a five-year contract with IBM Lender Business Process Services to service its mortgage portfolio.

As part of the agreement, the company will provide Coastal with a full range of lending services, including loan application processing, underwriting, customer care, vendor management, document preparation and loan closing coordination.
In conjunction with the Coastal announcement, IBM said it opened a new delivery center in Charlotte for the loan processing business.
Lender Business Process Services is a newly formed IBM unit launched in 2006.
