Colorado CU Eyes Big FOM Expansion

LITTLETON, Colo. – Colorado CU has applied to state regulators to add more than 800,000 residents in two surrounding counties, Douglas and Jefferson, to its field of membership.

The $105 million credit union, chartered in 1973 to serve employees of the Johns Manville Co., currently serves more than 100 select groups and a small community FOM under the state’s hybrid charter.

The Colorado Division of Financial Services has scheduled a public hearing on the charter requests for Jan. 11.
