Colorado's Aventa Opens Health Insurance Marketplace

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The $150-million Aventa Credit Union here has begun offering a health insurance marketplace to its members.

Saying it made the move to assist members and its local communities in acquiring health insurance coverage due to the Affordable Health Care Act, the credit union has partnered with the Credit Union Exchange Blueprint to offer individual and family health care coverage through what is being branded as the Aventa Insurance Marketplace.

Aventa Insurance Marketplace is a web-based exchange that the credit union said simplifies the search for health coverage by gathering options available in the member's local area all in one place.

Members will get an apples-to-apples comparison of costs and coverage options of various health insurance plans from providers that include United Healthcare, Human, Aetna and Cigna. In addition to health plan, other insurance plans for auto, home, life, dental, vision, critical illness and long-term care insurance are also available.
