While the robbery suspects merely implied they had a weapon, the credit union member did have one and he fired off several shots at the suspects, injuring one, while the other got away.

The injured suspect was later found by police and taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police said they don’t plan to file charges against the member who shot the robbery suspect because he had a permit for the gun.

Police continue to search for the second suspect.

It was the second shooting during a credit union ATM robbery in two weeks, with a member of Fairwinds CU in Florida shooting to death one of two robbers on Nov. 16.
