Connecticut Credit Union League CEO to depart later this month

Jill Nowacki, CEO of the Connecticut Credit Union League, will leave the league later this month to enter the credit union consulting arena.

Her departure was announced during the league’s recent 85th annual meeting at the Connecticut Convention Center in downtown Hartford. A search for a successor has reportedly been announced, though an interim CEO has not yet been named.

Former Connecticut Credit Union League CEO Jill Nowacki became CEO of the consulting firm Humanidei in July 2019.

Nowacki came to the Connecticut league in 2013 after serving as VP of development for Maps Credit Union in Salem, Ore. and having led the CU’s community foundation.

In her new role, Nowacki will work directly with credit unions on talent development, succession planning and strategic planning at all levels of the institution. She also indicated that she expects to work with credit union professionals at all levels of the organization – form the board to front-line staff – and focus on speaking and writing about talent development, executive and emerging leadership, and diversity and inclusion.

“I’ll be consulting in the area of how credit unions leverage human capital to better fulfill their purpose of expanding the economic capacity of their members and communities,” Nowacki told CU Journal via email.
