CORE CU Names New President/CEO

STATESBORO, Ga. — CORE Credit Union announced Robert "Bob" Clampett has been named president and CEO of the $64-million institution here.

Clampett succeeds Jerry Shrode who was serving on an interim basis, the credit union said.

"We couldn't be more excited to have Bob lead CORE Credit Union," said Dr. Thomas Case, chairman of the board, in a statement. "We are confident that the credit union will benefit from his service and contribution as CEO."

CORE said that Clampett has spent more than 15 years working in the credit union industry, most recently serving as vice president of retail sales for Xceed Financial Credit Union, a $933-million institution based in El Segundo, Calif. At Xceed, Clampett was responsible for growing the member deposit base by 17% last year.
