IRONTON, Ala. – The long-pending marriage between Corporate America CU and Louisiana Corporate CU was called off last night, after 22 months in the works.
The two corporate said they decided to call off the merger, first announced in January 2011, because uncertainty from NCUA has left the combination “in limbo.”
The corporate merger, one of eight in the works, would have created a corporate with $3.6 billion in assets and serving more than 500 credit unions in 26 states, most of them in the southeast.
