Credit Unions Changing FOMs, Names

Day Air Credit Union has been approved to serve anyone in Montgomery, Greene or Warren counties. It also serves more than 350 SEGs. COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-The $1.7-billion Ent Federal Credit Union has been approved to expand into Pueblo County, Colo., which is designated as an "underserved investment area." Ent FCU said the additional service area will add approximately 185,000 potential members, based on the 2000 U.S. Census. EFCU plans to open one or more service locations in the next 12 to 24 months.

AUSTIN, Minn-As part of the celebration of its 75th anniversary Hormel Employees CU has decided to shed the name of its company sponsor to become Accentra CU. The credit union was founded in 1930 by Jay Hormel, who also founded the food company. The new name reflects the credit union's new four-county field of membership. Members of the $85-million approved the new name at last year's annual meeting.
