- LOS ANGELES (03/12/01) -- Autoland, an auto-buyingservice for credit unions, said it has merged with Corporate FleetServices (CFS) and Buyers' Auto Sales, doubling its inventory ofused vehicles available to credit union members. The principles ofboth organizations, David Rabin of CFS and Rob Byers of Buyers'Auto Sales, will continue to direct the combined used caroperations as part of Autoland. Autoland said the merger will alsogive it better ability to source specific vehicle types, especiallySUVs, and will allow it to obtain vehicles from rental car firms.The company, which sells approximately 700 cars monthly, said itwill initiate a certification program for qualifying vehicles toinclude a 3-month/3,000 mile warranty as well as with a 72-hourbuyback option.
