FORT ATKINSON, Wis. - (04/03/06) A bonus dividend declared by FortCommunity Credit Union of $1.1-million is being distributed in asomewhat unique way. The credit union said it will return $602,500to the community and $538,000 to its members. Among thebeneficiaries in the community will be $60,000 for new seats at theJefferson High School Auditorium, $5,000 for Jefferson SchoolDistrict classroom equipment, $5,000 for the Character EducationProgram, $5,000 for the Jefferson Community Foundation CornerstoneProject at city hall, $15,000 for the shelter at Rotary WaterfrontPark and $10,000 for a new scoreboard at Fischer Field. The creditunion is also donating $100,000 to the Hoard Historical Museumbuilding campaign and $100,000 for the Dwight Foster Public Librarybuilding campaign, while another $50,000 will divided up amongother groups. The $1.1-million represents 73% of the creditunion¹s earnings.
