WEST MILWAUKEE, Wis.— Employees at the National Avenue office of Landmark CU endured a robbery Wednesday and then a bomb scare.
The Milwaukee County bomb squad was called to the CU’s office after a robber apparently left behind a suspicious package. Published reports indicated the robber allegedly left the package behind the credit union and employees were evacuated.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office deployed its explosive ordinance disposal robot, and then determined the suspicious package was not a bomb.
The $2.3 billion CU is headquartered in New Berlin, Wis.
