MASON CITY, Iowa – North Iowa Community CU has filed foreclosure papers on a troubled Elks Lodge.
The suit alleges the Elks Lodge has failed to make payments since May of 2009 with an unpaid balance of $23,940.66 plus interest, according to court records. The suit asks for foreclosure on the property and sale of the property to satisfy the judgment, interest and costs.
The Elks Lodge closed on March 31, 2009, because of financial problems, according to the local lodge.
