The $43-million Aviation Associates Credit Union has changed its name to Central Star. The change follows a move to a community charter-it previously served employees of Raytheon Aircraft-serving Butler, Harvey, McPherson, Saline and Sedgwick counties. It is also planning to open two new branches.
MANCHESTER, N.H.-The $225-million Telephone Credit Union here has changed its name to Bellwether Community Credit Union following a field of membership expansion to all residents of New Hampshire. In making the name change, it noted many people misunderstood they had to work for the phone company to be eligible, and that the new name is more readily understood and also incorporates the word "bell," which pays homage to its roots.
